Door snag disrupts Bengaluru metro’s Purple Line services.

BENGALURU: Services on Metro’s Purple Line witnessed another disruption Thursday evening after a train developed a door-related technical fault at Cubbon Park station.All passengers were deboarded from the train and asked to board a subsequent one. The incident resulted in delays and overcrowding on platforms for some time.Ashwin Kumar TA, a techie, said he was travelling from Pattandur Agrahara towards Challaghatta when the train came to a halt at Cubbon Park station at 7.35pm. “Our train remained at the platform for 15 to 20 minutes after the door malfunction was reported in one of the coaches. All passengers were asked to get off and the platform quickly became crowded. I had to wait for three subsequent trains before I could board one as they were full.BMRCL chief PRO Yeshwanth Chavan said the doors of one train at Cubbon Park station did not close properly, leading to the delay of subsequent five services. The issue was promptly rectified and normal services were restored across Purple Line.
