Udupi:Udupi police arrested a 19-year-old man for possessing MDMA and allegedly selling it to college students and the public.The accused, Syed Mohammed Mehraj, a resident of Brahmavar, was apprehended in a public place in Malpe, Kodavoor village. He was allegedly supplying the banned substance to students and the public in Kaup, Brahmavar, Udupi and Manipal.Police seized 1g MDMA, a scooter used to transport the drugs, and other items.A case has been registered at Malpe police station under sections 8(C) and 22(b) of the NDPS Act. He was produced before a court, which remanded him in judicial custody.The raid was led by Udupi sub-division deputy SP Belliyappa KU and Malpe police inspector Ramachandra Nayak.
