BENGALURU: A woman has shared a video on social media alleging that a Zepto delivery partner repeatedly asked to enter her home and continued insisting even after she refused, leaving her feeling frightened. In the Instagram video, the woman recounted that the delivery partner arrived at her residence to deliver an order before asking for drinking water. She said she handed him a bottle and told him he could keep it.She alleged that after finishing the bottle, the delivery partner returned asking for more water. According to her, he then repeatedly requested to be allowed inside the house for five minutes. The woman said she declined each request and instead told him there was enough space outside where he could sit.Despite her repeated refusals, she alleged that the delivery partner continued pressing her to let him inside. She further claimed that as she tried to shut the gate, he rang the doorbell several times and again asked if he could come inside for a few minutes. The woman said she became scared, closed the door and stayed inside. She alleged that the delivery partner then began banging on the gate.In the video, she urged Zepto to investigate the incident and criticised the company’s complaint mechanism. In a follow-up video, the woman said Zepto had “issued a restraining order against the driver”, preventing him from coming near her house, and had “terminated his ID”.She also said she did not approach the police because she did not have the delivery partner’s details. “I didn’t go to the police because I didn’t have any details of the rider,” she said.Earlier this month, a delivery executive agent from Flipkart was arrested after a woman alleged that he entered her flat without permission and sexually harassed her after asking to use her washroom.
