Mangaluru: A 17-year-old girl allegedly committed suicide and left a death note in Surathkal police station limits on Tuesday.City police commissioner Sudheer Kumar Reddy said that she was found dead around 4 pm. She left a suicide note for her parents. The deceased’s parents filed a complaint at 11pm.Suratkal police registered a case under the provisions of the Pocso Act, for rape and abetment to suicide at 1am, the commissioner said.A postmortem has been completed and the doctor collected the foetus for DNA examination. Meanwhile, a team has been deputed to secure the accused, he added.
