TIMES NEWS NETWORKMangalur: Health minister UT Khader said that those who have neither worked for the Congress nor supported it should refrain from commenting on its affairs. “Only those who voted for the party and worked for it have the right to speak about it,” he said.Responding to Muslim leaders and like-minded organisations demanding ministerial representation for Muslims, Khader expressed displeasure and said, “There is no need for people operating under different banners and calling themselves “like-minded groups” to advise the Congress. The party will not take the opinions of those who did not vote for Congress seriously. They are attempting to create political controversy.”He said the Congress has given many opportunities to minorities other than offering ministerial berths. All Muslim leaders, including BZ Zameer Ahmed Khan, in the party are united, he said, adding that the new chief minister and the KPCC president will provide opportunities to minorities.Khader refused to comment on objections raised by some Congress leaders from the coastal district on the govt selecting actor Rishab Shetty as the brand ambassador to promote coastal and Malnad tourism. He said the chief minister will take a decision and handle it accordingly. On the proposed Bidadi township, Khader urged the JD(S) leaders to revealin public who had originally issued the notification for the Bidadi township project. “Let them reveal the truth about who notified the project. People should know the fact that it was done by them,” he said, asserting that the Congress stands firmly with farmers.Stating that the project will benefit farmers and their families, Khader added that the chief minister has already clarified that no project harmful to farmers will be implemented.
