Mangaluru: With the ongoing semester examination of Mangalore University (MU) to end in another two days, the officials are making efforts to announce the results of the sixth semester at the earliest.Officials said that parallel evaluation has begun, and they are prioritising sixth-semester results to be announced. This will help those graduates to apply for jobs as well as higher education.H Devendrappa, registrar (evaluation), MU, told TOI that the partial evaluation process of the ongoing semester has already begun, with priority being given to sixth semester papers. “The ongoing semester ends on July 3, and we expect to complete the process of the sixth semester like the previous year at the earliest. This will benefit those students who wish to go for higher studies or employment,” he said.As per the calendar of events for the next academic year, the UG classes will start from July 20 and PG classes in the first week of Sept. Devendrappa said that efforts are on to announce the results by the start of UG classes. “MU has implemented a fully computerised online system for recording marks directly at the evaluation centres, allowing for the prompt announcement of results. This will help in the speedy announcement of the results,” said an official from MU.
