Mangaluru: Bantwal Rural police have arrested one person in connection with the attempted burglary at a bank branch in Farangipete under the Bantwal Rural police station limits. According to police, the accused and his associates allegedly attempted to gain entry into the bank by drilling through the roof with the intention of stealing cash and gold ornaments. A case was registered on June 13, under invoking Sections 331(3), 331(4), 305(a), and 62 of the BNS. During the investigation, Bantwal Rural police arrested Mohammed Shakir, 33, a resident of Maripalla, Bantwal, Wednesady. Further, investigation is on, police said.
