BENGALURU: A woman from Bengaluru has alleged that she was harassed by a food delivery agent after he repeatedly asked to enter her home, according to a video that has gone viral on social media. However, the woman did not file a police complaint. The video also does not mention the place, date, or time of the incident. In the Instagram video, the woman claimed that the trouble began when the delivery agent arrived at her house to deliver an order and later asked for drinking water. He then asked for more water, sought permission to enter the house, she alleged. “He asked whether he could come inside for five minutes, and I replied no. Then, he asked for water again, which I gave him. After drinking it, he again asked whether he could come inside for five minutes, just five minutes. Again, I said no and closed the door. Then, he rang the bell two or three times. When I opened the door, he repeated, ‘Can I come in for five minutes?’ After saying no again, I closed the door. Then, he banged on my gate a few times,” the woman said in the video. A senior police officer requested the public to dial 112 in such situations. “The emergency response vehicle, Hoysala, will reach your location at the earliest. Also, one can make a video call through the Karnataka State Police (KSP) app by pressing the ‘Safe Connect’ option, and the police will rush to the spot quickly,” he said.
