Businessman donates diamond-studded gold chain to Kukke temple

Mangaluru: Hyderabad-based businessman Kankar Ravinder Reddy, chairman, Rasun Exports Private Limited, offered a diamond-studded gold chain to Lord Kukke Shri Subrahmanya on Wednesday. The chain, valued at approximately Rs 12.4 lakh, was handed over to the temple management committee president Harish S Injadi.On the occasion, Injadi felicitated Reddy for his offering. Later, temple priests Rajesh Nadyanthillaya and Satyanarayana Noorithaya performed special rituals and formally offered the gold chain to the deity. The donor and family members were honoured with shawls and prasadam. Reddy said he is a devotee of Lord Subrahmanya and earlier performed Sarpa Samskara and Ashlesha Bali rituals at the temple, after which his wishes were fulfilled. “As an expression of gratitude, I have made this offering. I am also willing to contribute in a bigger way and I am ready to take up the construction of the proposed Ganapati Gudi as ‘Seva’ (service),” he said. Injadi noted that countless devotees, both in India and abroad, have experienced divine blessings at the shrine. “Many devotees contribute in various forms of service. With future development works to be taken up, including the corridor, we welcome such contributions. Reddy’s offering and his willingness to support further development are commendable,” he said.
