Body of man who died in house exhumed for reinvestigation in Bengaluru

Bengaluru: Police have exhumed the body of a 40-year-old-man, who died in March of a suspected heart attack, and sent it for postmortem to know the real cause of death.Imtiyaz Pasha had collapsed in his Rameshnagar residence after dinner. He was shifted to a nearby hospital, where he died. His wife, Nasira Bhanu, told relatives that Pasha had complained of severe chest pain before his death. Pasha was later buried in the cemetery in the locality. However, Pasha’s younger brother Yonus recently approached HAL police, expressing suspicions over the death. “I have found that Nasira Bhanu wanted to marry her friend, Aslam. Therefore, there is every possibility of my brother being killed in his house,” Yonus told police.Accordingly, Pasha’s body was exhumed Thursday and experts from Bowring hospital collected his bones, skull, and other viscera samples. “Once we find the reason behind the death, we can decide the future course of action,” an investigating officer said.
