Udupi: An accused, who had been evading court trials for about 13 years, was arrested by Malpe police on Thursday. The accused is Madhu alias Umesh, a resident of Bidaganahalli village in Channarayapatna, Hassan district. He was booked under Sections 457, 380, read with 34 of the IPC in 2013. Head constable Vishwanath H and constable Mohammed Rafi arrested Madhu from Channarayapatna around 6 am. The accused was brought before the court and remanded in judicial custody.
