Mangaluru: An unidentified person allegedly attacked a woman with a sharp weapon near the KSRTC New bus stand at BC Road in Bantwal on Thursday evening, leaving her seriously injured. The accused fled the scene after the attack.According to police, the incident occurred around 6 pm, when the woman, believed to be between 21 and 25 years old, was waiting for a bus near the KSRTC New bus stand at BC Road. The injured woman was immediately shifted to the Bantwal Govt Hospital, where she is undergoing treatment.Personnel from the Bantwal Town police station visited the spot and have launched an investigation. Police said further details on the case will be available after preliminary inquiries.
