Mangaluru: Konaje police have arrested a man on charges of sexually assaulting a 9-year-old boy. The accused is Ashish Poojary,33. City police commissioner Sudheer Kumar Reddy CH stated that based on a complaint filed on Wednesday, a case was registered involving the sexual assault of a boy who was lured away on the pretext of providing money and snacks. It is alleged that obscene videos were shown to the child to encourage indecent acts.In this regard, a case has been filed at Konaje police station under the Pocso Act and Section 75 of the BNS Act. The suspect works at a logistics firm in Bejai, and has been taken into custody and presented before a court. An investigation is ongoing.
