Mangaluru: To clear the extra rush of passengers during the weekend holidays, South Western Railways (SWR) will operate one trip of Express Special train between Bengaluru Cantonment and Madgaon. Train No. 06597 Bengaluru Cant.–Madgaon Express Special will depart from Bengaluru Cant. on Thursday at 23.50 hrs and reach Madgaon at 18.10 hrs on Friday. In the return direction, Train No. 06598 Madgaon–Bengaluru Cant. Express Special will depart from Madgaon on Sunday at 08.40 hrs and arrive at Bengaluru Cant. at 23:55 hrs on the same day.En route, the train will halt at SMVT Bengaluru, Chikbanavar, Kunigal, Channarayapatna, Hassan, Sakleshpur, Subrahmanya Road, Kabaka Puttur, Bantwal, Surathkal, Mulki, Udupi, Barkur, Kundapur, Byndoor, Bhatkal, Murdeshwar, Honnavar, Kumta, Gokarna Road, Ankola, Karwar, and Cancona in both directions. The special train will comprise 23 coaches, including one AC 2-tier, three AC 3-tier, 10 Sleeper Class, seven general second class, and two second class-cum-luggage and brake vans with disabled-friendly compartment coaches.
