Mangaluru: Speaker UT Khader Saturday said chief minister Siddaramaiah will inaugurate the new main entrance of Vidhana Soudha in Bengaluru on March 25.Speaking to reporters, Khader said the entrance features intricate Karnataka-style work and was developed through Karnataka Forest Development Corporation and public works department (PDW). He said solar panels installed to partially supply energy to Vidhana Soudha will also be inaugurated on the same day.Khader said the PWD has floated a tender to develop entrances near the grand steps and on the high court side of Vidhana Soudha. These works will be taken up very shortly, he said.Responding to a query on a proposed dog shelter for stray dogs within the Vidhana Soudha premises, the speaker said the proposal is pending with the govt and will have to be finalised by it.
