BENGALURU: A dramatic CCTV footage has captured the moment a truck lost control on National Highway 648 on the outskirts of Bengaluru, resulting in a multiple-vehicle collision.The accident occurred near Lakshmipura Gate in Devanahalli taluk of Bengaluru Rural district on Tuesday, police said.The truck first crashed into a tractor before crossing the median and slamming into an oncoming vehicle, leaving three people injured.According to police, the lorry was travelling from Doddaballapur towards Devanahalli when the driver allegedly lost control and rammed into a tractor ahead.The CCTV footage shows traffic moving normally on both sides of the divided highway before the crash unfolds within seconds. Following the impact with the tractor, the truck veers sharply off course, mounts the median and crashes through the divider into the opposite carriageway.A huge cloud of dust rises from the impact, briefly obscuring the view of the highway. Moments later, the truck can be seen colliding head-on with an oncoming Bolero before coming to a halt. Several other motorists appear to narrowly escape the crash.Police said the drivers of the lorry, tractor and Bolero sustained injuries in the accident. They were shifted to hospital for treatment.A case has been registered and further investigation is underway.(With PTI inputs)
