Bengaluru: Two men from Doddaballapur Rural have been arrested for allegedly attacking an architect and her husband in a road rage incident.B Rachana, 29, of Rajajinagar, said the trouble began Friday when she honked at an MUV that was blocking her path on Hesaraghatta Main Road near Doddabelavangala. Rachana was driving back home after handing over breakfast to her husband Bharath, who was looking after construction work at their Hesaraghatta farmhouse.“…When I honked, a man from the MUV came near my window and clicked my photo on his mobile phone. Sensing danger, I called my husband, asking him to rush to the spot. Then, he removed his MUV. I started my car and he again blocked the path after 500 metres. Two men, including the earlier one, came near my window and one of them threatened to break the glass with a stone,” Rachana said in her complaint.“…By then, my husband arrived at the spot. He told them to delete my photo on their mobile and leave the place. In reply, they beat him up and tried to kill him by dumping a stone on his head,” she added.Further trouble was avoided as two relatives of Rachana, alerted by her, reached the spot. The three men confronted the attackers and alerted police. Soon, the two – M Mahesh, 25, and M Govinda Raju, 39, farmers of Dasenahalli village – were arrested and remanded in judicial custody.“Investigations revealed that they both were under the influence of alcohol. Thinking Rachana was an outsider, they misbehaved with her. We booked them under different sections, including attempted murder,” a senior police officer said.Biker attacks BMTC driverIn another road rage incident, a motorist allegedly attacked a BMTC driver after the bus brushed his two-wheeler on Bannerghatta Road recently.
