Pan-IIT Bengaluru summit on May 16

Bengaluru: The Pan IIT Alumni India Association, in collaboration with Karnataka govt, will organise the Pan-IIT Bengaluru Summit 2026 in the city on May 16. The summit will be held on the theme ‘technology sovereignty’, principal secretary, e-governance department, Pankaj Kumar Pandey said.Pan IIT president Prabhat Kumar said the summit will feature high-level plenary sessions, panel discussions, and parallel tracks across AI, defence, semiconductors, energy, mobility and healthcare. Selected startups will be connected with over 200 venture capitalists through a pitch-hackathon. A hackathon with 10,000 participants will work on real-world problems posed by the govt, he added.The summit, bringing together over 5 lakh alumni from 23 IITs, aims to create a platform for collaboration across technology, business and policy. It will include keynote sessions, CXO roundtables, startup showcases, hackathons and innovation exhibitions through the day.
